According to a recent report from Diario de Ibiza, José Luis Benítez, manager of Ocio de Ibiza — an organisation which represents the interests of clubs, venues, and other nightlife businesses on the island — said at Spain's recent International Tourism Fair that “The idea is that the opening will be at the end of April, two weeks ahead of what is normally done.”

According to a new report from Majorca Daily Bulletin, The Nightlife Employer’s Association, Abone, is hoping that clubs and other venues in the Balearic Islands will be allowed to reopen their doors from October following positive meetings with the Balearic government.

The change is part of a new line of measures, as the island reduces its COVID-19 alert level to the medium risk category, in line with that of the other Balearic Islands.
The new measures came into effect from Wednesday, 15th September, and mean that social gatherings between 2am and 6am will now be able to go ahead without restriction. This will remain the case until 29th September, when the situation will be re-evaluated.
