Poll 2005: DJ Amadeus
House Republic Vs. DJ Amadeus - Flashdance... What A Feeling
Richard Grey & DJ Amadeus - Goes Around
DJ Amadeus - That Bass
DJ Amadeus - Must Be That Look
DJ Amadeus - Beriln
Amadeus began his career in NYC strictly as a DJ during the golden age of clubbing in the 90s. It didn’t take long for his unmistakable “big room” sound to receive recognition. Amadeus started making a name for himself playing weekly for 5000+ people at some of the hottest clubs in NYC at the time including Tunnel, Limelight, Webster Hall, Mansion (M2 Ultralounge), and Pink Elephant. After a decade of DJing, Amadeus took his musical skills into the studio. The result was an array of successful ‘hands in the air’ club anthems including “Burn” featuring Blake, “I Miss You” featuring Amuka, “Must Be That Look”, “Scream”, “Battleship”, “Berlin” featuring Mario Sebastian. As of recent, tracks titled “That Bass” and “Goes Around,” featuring Richard Grey, peaked at #26 on the Beatport Electro House and House Chart respectively. Throwback record, “Flashdance… What A Feeling” was a massive chart topping, classic remake produced with partner Richard Grey that earned a #14 spot in Beatport House Chart and was heavily supported by Tiesto on his world famous Club Life radio show.
His tracks have been featured on various Pacha, Ego, Tiger, Roxy, Recovery House, Re:vibe Music, Club Control and Kontor CD compilations including “Kontor Festival Sounds”, “Ibiza Weapons 2013 Vol. 1 and 2”, “Pacha Ibiza VIP Vol. 6”, “Ego In Cote D’Azur 2013”, “Open Air 2013”, “Kraftworx EDM 2014 Vol. 1 and 2”, “Vanity Gimme 5 Vol 21”, “Tiger Records Festival Anthems Volume 5”, “Tiger Records #BeatportDecade Electro House”, “EDM’s Best Kept Secret Vol. 2”, “Progressive Diary Vol. 1”, “Festival Of House”, “Trouse Vol. 12”, “Ibilektro,” just to name a few, and his weekly mix is featured on Music Choice EDM/ Dance channel.
By playing his latest productions all over the globe with regular stops in the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia Amadeus’ productions are rapidly growing in popularity with some of the world’s biggest DJs. He has performed alongside some of the biggest names in Dance Music such as Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Kaskade, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Dash Berlin, Steve Angello, Bob Sinclar, Sharam, Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia, Christopher Lawrence, Offer Nissim, Peter Rauhofer, LMFAO, Tydi, Myon & Shane 54, Behrouz, Richard Grey, Tieschwarz, Nadia Ali, Donald Glaude, Yahel, Redroche, and Serge Devant. Poll Clubs 2016: SPACE IBIZA NYC
Arguably one of the White Isle’s greatest exports, the Space Ibiza franchise is a quarter-century old global clubbing institution.
Sprawled across the corner of West 50th Street and 12th Avenue, Space Ibiza New York brings a bit of the Balearic island’s best vibes to the city that never sleeps — and considering the notorious length of Space parties, it seems a perfect match. As any New Yorker will claim, a trek all the way over to Manhattan’s westernmost avenue requires justification, and this mega club provides it: from European techno elite like Paco Osuna and Nic Fanciulli, to EDM superstars NERVO and NYC native Victor Calderone, Space Ibiza’s Big Apple outpost offers sounds to suit every palate and the guarantee of a brand that’s survived the test of time.
