Motion nightclub has announced its first quarter line-ups for 2017, once again including a host of the UK's best event brands, DJs and live acts.

After a huge New Year's Day party with Ben Klock, Jackmaster, Gerd Janson and many, many more, the beloved Bristol hotspot returns tomorrow (Friday 13th January) with a free double warehouse rave, before welcoming the likes of George Fitzgerald, Tom Trago and Jasper James for Boogie Nights & Odo on Friday 20th January and Regression Sessions (who'll host a "Hippy Trippy Shakedown!") the following day.

Since parting from his old mucker Octane back in 2013, DLR has become a staple of the Dispatch Recordings' most succesful solo artists.

Building on the weird and wonderful signature of his past, the Bristol boy added his own techy twist, dropping his debut solo LP 'Seeing Sounds' last year. 

Not one to rest on his laurels, the prolific producer has been hitting the studio hard since and is already back with album number two. Titled 'Dreamland', the collection boasts 14 tracks, plus a bunch of a vinyl exclusives.

In:Motion has revealed the full line-up for its New Year’s Day 2017 party at Motion in Bristol, and it’s huge.

The 33 artist bill features Ben Klock, Tale Of Us, Jackmaster, KiNK, Steffi, Nastia, Jeremy Underground, Gerd Jansen, Axel Boman, ItaloJohnson, Helena Hauff, Hodge and many more on deck.

This year’s In:Motion series has already welcomed Joseph Capriati, Eats Everything, Kölsch, Craig Richards, Felix Dickinson, Roni Size, Congo Natty, Oneman and more, just two weeks into the Autumn series.

Described by Eats Everything as “one of the best clubs in the world”, Motion Bristol has announced their full winter line-up — and it’s looking ridiculously good.

Marking 10 years of service from the Bristol-based rave cave, 2016 will see the likes of Drumcode, Bugged Out!, ANTS, Hot Creations, Just Jack and a whole host of Bristol brands taking over the club-come-skate park during 2016.

New names have been added to Simple Things Festival, the multi-venue musical celebration in Bristol on Saturday 22^nd October.

High-calibre acts including pioneering DJ Ben UFO, disco newcomer Harvey Sutherland and techno queen Helena Hauff, will be joined by the likes of Russian underground selector Nina Kraviz, and a live performance by noise-rap group, Death Grips.

Bristol’s In:Motion have announced their opening weekend parties with Joseph Capriati, Eats Everything and Kölsch all playing on the opening night on Friday 31st September.

They’ll be joined by the likes of Radio 1 tastemaker B. Traits, fabric mainstay Craig Richards, libidinous DJ collective Horse Meat Disco, Phonox resident Jasper James, and hotly-tipped house and techno duo Solardo.

Human remains found in woodland outside Bristol are suspected to be those of missing local icon, DJ Derek. 

Derek Serpell-Morris, 73, was last seen at the Criterion Pub in Bristol in July 2015, and has been the subject of an exhaustive search by local authorities and community members over the last eight months. 

Avon and Somerset police have said there is strong evidence that human remains found in the Patchway area of South Gloucestershire on Thursday were of Morris.

Bristol dance music institution Motion has revealed its Easter party line-up with Jamie Jones, Apollonia and Audion (Live) set to play. 

The line-up sees a fusion of leading lights from across the UK, Europe and the U.S, alongside a selection of handpicked, homegrown house and techno stars. 

Taking place Saturday 26th March, Hot Creations head honcho Jamie Jones will be leading proceedings alongside the raw analogue sounds of ItaloJohnson, whilst Matthrew Dear's much-lauded alias Audion will be playing a rare live peformance. 

Having announced last month that Red Bull's Culture Clash would be touching down in Bristol and Manchester for the first time, Red Bull has unveiled the eight crews that will do battle this March. 

Taking place at Bristol's Passenger Shed at Brunel's Old Station on Friday 4th March, Bristol's Red Bull Culture Clash will see four crews from across the entire gamut of Bristol's fertile bass music community do battle. 

Confirmed to go head-to-head will be Butterz Sounds, Stylo G's Warning Sounds, DJ Die's Gutterfunk and Tectonic. 

Taking place on 28th Saturday and 29th Sunday of May, Love Saves The Day is returning to Bristol’s Eastville Park for the fifth year running.

Hot Chip will be bringing their lauded live show to the park, alongside Hudson Mohawke, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Ben Klock, Roman Flügel, David Rodigan, Skream Paranoid London and many more.

While grime dons Stormzy, Section Boyz and Dizzee Rascal have been announced for the West Country two-dayer too.
