Bristol venue Colston Hall has been officially renamed.
In June, one week after protestors toppled a statue of 17th century slave trader Edward Colston from outside Colston Hall music and arts venue, the venue name was seen being removed from the front of the building ahead of its new title.
Bristol club Blue Mountain has announced permanent closure.
The team at Blue Mountain, located in the Stokes Croft area of Bristol, took to social media on Monday (17th) to announce that they would be shutting their doors permanmently. A post from the club said: "It’s with heavy heart that we have to announce that we will be closing from mid September as we’ve been given notice from the owners of the venue who are now wanting their property back for their future plans to develop the site.
"We have exhausted all avenues to try to allow us to remain open.
Members of Massive Attack, Portishead, and more will play in hot air balloons above Bristol in the coming weeks.

Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja AKA 3D has released a collection of limited edition prints in aid of Bristol Food Union’s Feed The Frontline campaign.
The prints will be on sale until 17th May, with 10 of them to be selected at random and given a unique, spray painted finish by Del Naja. All proceeds raised will go to Bristol Food Union’s Feed The Frontline campaign, which Massive Attack donated £10,000 to last month.
As the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to force a number of event cancellations or postponements and club closures, Bristol record shop Idle Hands has issued a stark warning on how the pandemic might affect small, independent businesses.
"This is a worrying time for everyone and a situation none of us are used too," reads a social media post penned by the shop's owner, Chris Farrell. "Events are moving fast and we have to accept that major disruption is on its way. If Italy is anything to go by shops like Idle Hands will be forced to close indefinitely."
The third largest arena in the UK is set to open in Bristol, the YTL Arena.
Following the announcement of plans to build an arena at the city's Filton Airfield, Bristol City Council’s planning committee made the decision to go ahead with the new venue, which will be headed by Malaysian investment firm YTL. The venue looks set to open in 2023, with the infrastructure costing around £5 million, and to generate £1.5 billion locally in 25 years.

Motion Bristol has shared the acts and events kicking off its 2020 season.
Following the end of Motion's In:Motion season, which ran through October to December last year, the club will welcome over 150 artists to the venue in the first part of 2020.
