Pioneer DJ has announced a new mixer, the DJM-S11. The new mixer, aimed at turntablists and scratch DJs, features two channels and can control four decks, with a 4.3-inch customisable touchscreen, where you can view the waveforms, browse for tracks and add and adjust FX. The new Magvel Fader Pro has “boosted its vertical rigidity by 30 percent” and the eight coloured performance pads per channel have also been improved for Hot Cues, Rolls, Saved Loops, Sampler and more.
Pioneer DJ has updated rekordbox to version 6.1.1 and added the ability to create your own track edits, and save them as new files. The basic editor lets your select loops and extend them, delete breakdowns, lengthen outros or intros and copy and save vocal chops, hits, or other sounds into a ‘Palette’ to use later in the same track.
Pioneer DJ has announced the next-gen industry-standard DJ player the CDJ-3000. The new player – which has removed the optical CD drive – features a new, bigger, brighter nine-inch touchscreen. Below it there are now eight coloured hot cue pads, and a newly designed jog wheel with on-jog display, dedicated Beat Jump buttons, extra loop buttons for four and eight-bar lengths and a new aluminium faceplate.
Pioneer DJ has teased what appears to be a landmark new product under the tagline A New Dimension. In the video, uploaded to their socials at 8am BST, it shows what appears to be a new DJ product being tested rigorously before teasing some soft-focus shots of the unit, including jog wheels, pitch faders, USB ports and what looks like on-jog screens.
Pioneer DJ has introduced an entry-level affordable DJ headphone called the HDJ-CUE1. Starting at £59 for the dark silver finish, rising to £89 for the matte black, white and red versions. You can also add an extra accessory pack which includes your choice of coloured cables and ear pads for £27 per pack.

Released on Wednesday this week (5th August), a new documentary from Pioneer DJ, entitled Distant Dancefloors, presents a 360-degree view of the economical, psychological and social impact COVID-19 has had on global club culture.
Pioneer DJ has updated rekordbox to version 6.0.2, addressing some bugs reported by users since the new version dropped earlier this year. The new version addresses issues around rekordbox crashing on launch, as well as issues exporting tracks that have been sync'd to Pioneer DJ's new Cloud Library Sync. Pioneer DJ has added a new feature that analyses tracks and detects where vocals are on the waveform. Pioneer DJ says “This is possible thanks to AI technology with deep-learning capabilities embedded in the software’s new music analysis algorithm, which we co-developed with Japanese tech company Qosmo.”
Pioneer DJ has announced a major update to rekordbox. Version 6 adds a feature called Cloud Library Sync, allowing users to upload their collections to a linked Dropbox account, where they can access it across a maximum of four devices. Metadata and analysis information is also stored in the cloud and can be edited and sync’d back to the cloud.
