Berghain’s door policy has become almost as famous as the techno DJs the Berlin nightclub has nurtured since opening its doors in 2004, striking fear into the hearts of ravers across the planet. But now you can practice getting past well-known and much feared doorman Sven Marquardt. Sort of.
Adam Beyer and long-term partner Ida Engberg got married on Saturday, before heading down to Berlin’s Berghain for the afterparty.
The Drumcode boss announced the pair had wed in a Facebook post that read, “Yeeeeeeeeees!!!!! Just got married to the woman of my dreams! All is full of love!”.
After one commenter asked who would be playing the wedding party, Beyer replied, “We're off to Berghain tomorrow to celebrate, so pretty decent line-up.” You can see the full post below.
Four Tet has put out a call to help him buy derelict venue the Trocadero to relaunch it as a London version of Berlin's Berghain nightclub.
The producer's idea follows the sad news yesterday that Dalston venue Dance Tunnel will close in August — the latest in a long line of club closures across the capital.
Back in 2014, photographers Vincent Voiginer and Barbara Bernardi had an inspired idea. They camped outside Berlin's techno temple Berghain one Sunday morning, snapping pictures of weary ravers propped against Berghain's infamous metal fence.

Chicago house producer Felix Da Housecat has been denied entry to Berlin's Berghain over the weekend, accusing the famous nightclub of adopting a racist door policy.
Objekt is TJ Hertz — a Berlin-dwelling producer who's gained notoriety with a series of carefully crafted dancefloor focused 12s for a select group of reputable labels. So far so typical, But Objekt is light years ahead, with a fresh broken techno aesthetic, taste for Detroit electro flavours and a conceptual vision more interesting than most denizens of the German capital.
