These are the top 30 UK club events in October 2017
Time to get busy.
These are the top 30 UK club events in October 2017, so forget about nuclear war for a second... London sees Fabric pull together a monumental line-up for its birthday, be on the floor for Donato Dozzy and Peter Van Hoesen's back to back.
Trouble Vision also has an anniversary, Sprinkles bringing proper house stuff- and no doubt politics- with Willow incapable of doing wrong right now. Those aside, Sebastian Mullaert was the best thing at Freerotation this year; a continous build of achingly beautiful stomping techno, so fair play to Superstition for that booking.
Sticking South, Southampton has slo mo curveball king Mark E- always solid. There's also serious leftfield d'n'b at Neversleep in Bournemouth, with Exit Records and 50 Weapons face Sam Binga. One of our favourite small parties, Simple, is back on it, too; NTS chap Jon Rust getting some deserving love there. And Brighton's Mono is looking serious by way of techno monsters Cleric and Reflec.
Festival season seems impossible to kill off, which is good as the commendably daring Sheffield weekender No Bounds arrives- see #1 in the North. Liverpool is also in on the act with Disco Festival 3; Jamie 3:26 doesn't appear that often, so take note. And Simple Things is back in Bristol- last year saw topless crowdsurfing while Charlotte Church covered R Kelly songs in the foyer of a symphony hall, so let's see what happens this time.
Aside from all those, new session Club Pelicon launches in Manchester, where Canadian duo Minimal Violence will showcase inescapable techno, electro and lo-fi bang. They'll also be in store at Eastern Bloc beforehand. Leeds has something special too, as Sprinkles hits Butter Side Up with one to watch Gwenan, whose recent trips to Amsterdam, Japan, and South Korea speak volumes about her talent. As for the Midlands, Wigflex is again the most forward thinking- Truss & Tessela will be worth travelling from everywhere for. And Scotland sees a new venue open for Denis Sulta's 12 hour celebration- The Old Leith Theatre is atmospheric as they come. Meanwhile, Livity Sound's unstoppable Kowton and Swamp 81's Paleman play three hours together in Edinburgh, so fans of lightning mixing and technical prowess better buy some tickets.
The full rundown of our Top 30 club nights in the UK is below, with more complete listings in the latest print magazine (Issue 574). Catch you somewhere loud, then.
