Shinichi Atobe releases new album, ‘Love Of Plastic’, on DDS: Listen
It’s the Japanese producer’s sixth album on Demdike Stare’s label

Shinichi Atobe has released his sixth album, ‘Love Of Plastic’ on DDS (Distort Decay Sustain). You can listen to ‘Love Of Plastic 5’ below.
The nine-track release of distinctive deep house and dub techno follows the Japanese producer’s 2020 album, ‘Yes’ and 2018’s ‘Heat’, which was listed on DJ Mag’s electronic albums that defined the 2010s.
Atobe has consistently released on DDS, the label owned by Demdike Stare, since returning to dance music production in 2014 after a 13-year hiatus.
The LP is mastered by Rashad Becker and includes photography by Mat Thornton. You can order ‘Love Of Plastic’, including a limited-edition ocean blue vinyl, and listen to clips from the album here.
