This artist has turned track waveforms from Daft Punk, Massive Attack, Aphex Twin, more into beautiful art
Your favourite tracks reimagined
An artist is creating beautiful images so you can visualise your favourite tracks.
Alex Szabo-Haslam is a Sheffield-based creative who manipulates soundwaves from music to create print-based visulations of songs.
Describing the process, Szabo-Halsam, who counts Surgeon and LFO's Mark Bell as his supporters, explained that: "the soundwave generated by a song or piece of music is painstakingly redrawn as a series of bars, then orbited to create beautiful, elegant, abstract shapes. Supporters of the project can choose any song, by any musician, in a colour of their choice."
Each bespoke piece of artwork uses museum-quality cotton paper and is printed with pigment inks. Find out more information and purchase prints here.
Check out some of the work below, which features music by Aphex Twin, BABY D and Massive Attack.
Last month, Skrillex announced he would be donating profits from an upcoming gig to Burning Man's Head Maze art project.
