In an ironic turn of events, world-touring festival-scouring DJ Seth Troxler - who once Tweeted, “Yesterday I went on a food tour in NYC. Eight restaurants later and a night on the couch, I don’t feel so bad, thinking about pancakes” - is turning his back on what he sees as EDM’s drive towards gigantism.
In a pledge to strip back to his club roots, as the dollar-guzzling dance music machine grows exponentially worldwide, the Lothario with kick-ass tunes has committed to residencies at four of the world’s most lauded underground clubs. He’ll start a quarterly residency at Fabric (Saturday 15th February), then another one at Amsterdam’s Trouw (Friday 21st February) and one at New York’s latest hotspot Output (Friday 22nd March).
He’ll also play 10 dates in Ibiza at DC10 (Circoloco) and he’s been booked into Panorama Bar, Womb, Warung, Fuse, Sub Club, Spybar, Robert Jonson, Mint Club and D-Edge, among others, also during 2014. Such a restrained DJ schedule - not!
