Allen & Heath have upgraded their top-flight mixers, the DB4 and DB2, with even more studio-grade FX and features.

The new upgrades are available as a firmware update and offer more creative flexibility with an advanced channel FX configuration. In addition, each FX section can be configured in Classic, Send or Hybrid Mode, to create a subtly different sound for each effect type.

The new firmware also introduces a new effect to the DB4’s extensive FX library. Infrabass is a low frequency enhancer that simply puts more bass into the mix.

The updates also allow the microphone/auxiliary input to be routed to any or all of the four main music channels for multiple FX processing and looping.
